About

Rising star Nolan Siegel will compete in his first season of the Indy Pro 2000 Championship with DEForce Racing along with additional driving duties for CarBahn with Peregrine Racing in IMSA throughout 2022. The Palo Alto, California native’s racing career began at the age of eight when he tried out his first go kart. Since then, the 17-year-old has had multiple victories and podium finishes in the USF2000 and Indy Pro 2000 Championships, as well as victories in the Sonoma Raceway Formula 3 Series Championship and ROK Junior championship in the ROK Sonoma Series.

Siegel began racing in a small race series in Northern California. After a season of racing locally, he moved on to regional and national race series, including the Superkarts! USA California ProKart Challenge and Challenge of the Americas. In 2017 Nolan won the ROK Sonoma championship in Mini ROK.

He had his first taste of driving an open-wheel race car for his 13th birthday present when he had the opportunity to drive an F3 car in the SimRaceway Formula 3 school at Sonoma Raceway. Siegel continued to race in the SimRaceway Formula 3 series at Sonoma Raceway for the 2018 season where he won several races and clinched the championship.

In 2019, Siegel transitioned to the Road to Indy USF2000 Championship with Newman Wachs Racing before joining Jay Howard Driver Development in 2020, where he continued to develop his skills and hone his racecraft. He also competed in the Circuit of the Americas F4 US Championship event where he clinched a fourth-place finish in his F4 debut and massively impressed team owner, Jay Howard.

After the 2021 season saw him earn his first victory on the Road to Indy at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Nolan is looking to build off that momentum in 2022 with DEForce Racing as he steps up to the Indy Pro 2000 Championship. He’ll also be in the IMSA paddock, competing at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and in select Michelin Pilot Challenge races with Peregrine Racing in an effort to further push his skills in different styles of competition.
